Our Winter Months...

Hello again...Our winter months started out slow, we were at our friends the Robinson's in El Cajon, CA for a month, awaiting the arrival of another grandchild, which we welcomed on Dec. 14th a precious princess Gianna Grace, we call her GG.   An additional BLESSING in our life...

What a blessed day...

Just after Christmas we moved down to our lot in Yuma.  We were there about 2 weeks and one of those weeks our Saskatchewan friends came to stay with us on our lot for about a week, LOVE you Greg and Christine...what a hoot they are, then we headed over to Quartzsite Arizona for the big RV show and were there for two weeks.  We camped with the Heavy Hauler group from Escapes.  We met and made so many new friends while we were there...never a dull moment.  There were  5 DRV coaches in the group, and a total of about 13 HH in our group.  The weather was really great this year no rain, because trust me we have been there when you almost need an ark to get around.  We were able to go out and do some prospecting while we were there and...didn't get skunked!!!  After 2 weeks we headed back to Yuma where we settled in.  We saw several other friends Curt and Pat that we had met this last summer in Gillette and again in Cody, and enjoyed several outings and get togethers with them.  Great friends we absolutely adore Jan and Kent were able to come over from Phoenix and spend time with us as well just before we made our trip back up to San Diego.

Quartzsite...such a fun place for RV'ers to visit in January when the big tent is there...

Our Friends Greg and Christine...

For those of you who didn't know Dwain had some "issues" last summer and again this winter with his heart...those issues led to major open heart surgery on April 2.  Dwain was born with a malformed Aortic Valve (Aortic Bicuspid Valve), it was worn out and needed to be replaced and while they were in there they also performed a single vessel bypass that was slightly occluded.  It has been less then 3 weeks and he is really doing well now, and on the mend.  We look forward to hopefully beginning our summer travels sometime in June, we got bit by the fly fishing bug pretty bad last summer and look forward to getting out there in those streams and rivers again...so stay tuned till next time.
Day after heart surgery still in CCU, good attitude...
